11/01/2018 So, this just happened: the New Mexico Library Association honored me with the Legislator of the Year Award for my sponsorship of HB 207 - the N.M. Library Broadband Infrastructure Bill - which passed both chambers unanimously and was signed into law by the governor. Credit really goes to Deming High Librarian Teresa Ortiz for her incredible job advocating on behalf of the state’s librarians! So privileged to work with Deming High Librarian Teresa Ortiz on legislation for libraries to fund broadband infrastructure for school, municipal and tribal libraries.#dist32rocks |
