This afternoon I helped dedicate the Medal of Honor Commemorative Marker for the Battle of Chiricahua Pass, which took place October 20, 1869, between Apache warriors and U.S. Army soldiers. The marker, dedicated at the Chiricahua Desert Museum north of Rodeo, NM, recognizes the 33 Medal of Honor recipients — the most Medals of Honor issued for a one-day battle in U.S. Army history, a record that still stands. #dist32rocks
